Established in 1978, SteelHaul has continued to grow and has become a market leader in the Western Australian transport industry.
Although the transport and storage of bulk steel is still our focus, we have expanded into other markets and now operate 4 key divisions:
• Container Transport
• Specialised Logistics
• Warehousing & Distribution
• General Transport & Break Bulk Handling
SteelHaul currently employs over 70 people and operates from two purpose built warehouse facilities with an additional hardstand area in Naval Base, Western Australia.
Our footprint covers 9,950 m2 of undercover storage area and 29,000 m2 of hard-stand-area with a combined property space of 40,000 m2.
The principle factor in the success of SteelHaul is our team. This fully experienced and dedicated group of professionals brings a depth of expertise, skills and knowledge to our scope of operations.
With many collective years experience in transport and warehousing, we have the right blend of people, equipment and resources to deliver exactly what you require.
Our extensive fleet of late model Volvo prime-movers is manned by uniformed company drivers. These highly trained and professional drivers are dressed in mine standard, high-visibility clothing and foot protection. Each has MSIC clearance, with most having successfully completed mine-site and port inductions.
Our transport management software is fully integrated with consignment processing, manifesting, billing and fleet management, providing a complete 'end-to-end' transport management system.
The fleet has also received WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation by Main Roads (fatigue and maintenance management) and delivers improved safety, productivity and efficiency with reduced vehicle downtime.
SteelHaul is a corporate member of the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia and we’re actively involved in changing the future shape of supply chain and logistics management.
All SteelHaul vehicles are tracked via sophisticated satellite navigation. This means we can monitor your consignment in real-time and assist in disputes over demurrage, confirmation of delivery point drop off and time spent on-site.
All vehicles are speed-limited to 100kmh and monitored around the clock.
As a member of the Industrial Foundation for Accident Protection, we’re committed to setting and achieving high standards in occupational health and safety.
As one of the safest companies in the industry, we have a consolidated OH&S system together with a staff development program that delivers comprehensive training and safety awareness.
This includes the appointment of a full time occupational health and safety manager, ongoing staff training and education, established OH&S Policies and safe work practices.
As a result of our in-house safety initiatives, incident reporting disciplines and consultation with customers to determine their safety concerns and requirements, we establish robust safe work practices whilst on-site. Our safety audit includes the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Job Hazard Assessments.
We are committed to safety and to the safe handling and storage of your goods.
